Already this year, I’ve witnessed a client lose all their historical web Analytics and AdWords data (they did not have a backup copy of the data offline – YES, Google can lose your data) and I’ve also seen untested email campaigns being sent out which certainly erodes prospect interest and/or customer trust.
Here are two helpful marketing checklists for marketing professionals to ensure quality is job #1:
- EMAIL CAMPAIGN CHECKLIST: This marketing email campaign checklist is for quality control purposes. Marketing profession
als should complete this email campaign marketing checklist before every distribution.
- QUARTER ENDING MARKETING MANAGEMENT CHECKLIST: This marketing checklist is intended to ensure that all proactive and required actions for a cost-effective marketing and sales model are effectively maintained and managed. Completing this marketing checklist once a quarter will ensure that the following occurs:
- Development of long-term marketing assets
- Marketing infrastructure is improved constantly
- Continuous improvement of conversion rates
- Risk mitigation in case of disaster (systems backup and recovery) or turnover
Did I forget something?

I would only add that email cannot stand alone.
Marketers should integrate email with other marketing activities (PR, Direct Mail, Social Media, etc.) if they are to see maximum return on marketing investment (ROIm).
